Valle d'Aosta Residents
We inform you that a procedure is active to allow, on an experimental basis, a highway toll reduction exclusively for Valle d'Aosta residents as provided by the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Autonomous Region of Valle d'Aosta, Raccordo Autostradale Valle d'Aosta R.A.V. S.p.A. and Società Autostrade Valdostane – S.A.V. S.p.A.
Sections not traveled
In highways with an "open" system, as is the case of the R.A.V. section, since there is no ticket collection upon entry, the toll is calculated based on a conventionally predetermined distance; in this case, the Customer pays a fixed amount at each transit through the toll booth. R.A.V., in order to encourage highway use for those who travel only part of it with entries/exits at intermediate junctions of the open system, since 2000, in agreement with the Autonomous Region of Valle d'Aosta and with the approval of the Granting Authority, provides an invoice discount to Customers with electronic toll devices, proportional to the journey actually made, equal to approximately 90% for entries/exits at the Aosta Ovest junction and approximately 40% for entries/exits at the Morgex junction.
SOME INDICATIVE EXAMPLES
From Aosta Ovest to Courmayeur traveling by car or motorcycle, the toll is 9.10 euros.
From Courmayeur to Aosta Ovest traveling in a 2-axle camper, the toll is 12.10 euros.
The toll calculation, according to the previously mentioned criterion, applies to the highway section with a "closed" system, i.e., when the Customer collects a ticket at entry and delivers it at exit, paying the toll corresponding to the route traveled.

Ring road free passage
The free passage on the Aosta Est - Aosta Ovest Saint-Pierre highway section is in effect, following the agreement signed by the Autonomous Region of Valle d'Aosta and the highway companies R.A.V. S.p.A. (Raccordo Autostradale Valle d'Aosta) and S.A.V. S.p.A (Società Autostrade Valdostane). The procedure, duly authorized by the Granting Authority MIT-SVCA, will be operational on an experimental basis and is aimed at rationalizing transit vehicle movements in the Plaine municipalities, particularly in Aosta, with the objective of promoting greater traffic flow and safety and ensuring the containment of environmental inconveniences. The toll exemption – which applies to all vehicle classes – will be implemented exclusively for routes that originate and terminate at the "open system" highway junctions of Aosta Est and Aosta Ovest Saint-Pierre and vice versa, while it will not apply to routes that originate or terminate at junctions located upstream or downstream of the aforementioned section, nor for broader routes artificially divided with exit and re-entry operations on the highway.
The free passage is also not applied when at least 30 minutes do not elapse between exiting at the Aosta Gran San Bernardo station and subsequent re-entry onto the highway at the Aosta Est station (or vice versa) and when more than 1 hour passes between entry at the Aosta Est station and exit at the Aosta Ovest/Saint Pierre junction (or vice versa)..
If, due to force majeure, there is temporary inability to exit at the Aosta Est and/or Aosta Ovest St. Pierre highway stations (accident, forced blockage, natural events...), the Companies reserve the right to determine whether or not to attribute the transit(s) in order to obtain the benefit.
To benefit from this discount, vehicles must be equipped with an electronic toll device.
